On September 19, the one-day workshop on the application and reliability of power semiconductor device was successfully convened at GDAS Foshan Industrial Technology Research Institute. The workshop was organized by Guangdong Enchip Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. More than 50 guests in the field of power semiconductor devices were invited to have in-depth exchanges on the application and reliability testing of power semiconductor devices. Sun Hui, R&D Director of Electric Drive of United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. (“UAES”), systematically explained the silicon carbide based motor controller. Subsequently, Wang Xuehe, General Manager of SAIC Infineon Automotive Power Modules (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., gave an introduction of SAIC Infineon to the audience with regards to the company’s development process and products.

Chen Gang, Marketing Director of Yangzhou Guoyang Electronics Co., Ltd., introduced the main product types of power electronic devices and modules, the main application markets, domestic industry situations and the future development of products. In quick succession, Jiang Nan, the moderator, explained in detail the testing service of Guangdong Enchip, including the testing of power semiconductor devices of vehicle standard level.

In the afternoon of September 19, Peng Yitian, Manager of Shenzhen Basic Semiconductor Co., Ltd., introduced to the audience the company's silicon carbide product types, product planning and product applications in the automotive industry. Following that, Associate Professor Lei Liu from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Tsinghua University explained the opportunities and challenges of nanosilver as a chip attaching material, as well as the relevant experience and advantages of his research team in this field. Finally, Chen Jinbiao, General Manager of Guangdong Olympic Circuit Technology Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech on the "Latest Quality and Technology Trends for High-Reliability Automotive Circuit Boards".

The successful convening of this workshop provided new perspectives and new ideas for the application and reliability development of power semiconductor devices, and would effectively promote the sustainable development of power semiconductor devices in related fields.
