Introduction to Broadband-Narrowband Integrated Communication Technology R&D Center

Broadband-Narrowband Integrated Communication Technology R&D Center of GDAS Foshan Industrial Technology Research Institute (“Broadband-Narrowband Center”), a professional research and development center under Foshan Industrial Research Institute, was jointly established by Foshan Industrial Research Institute and Guangdong Woke Integrated Communications Co., Ltd. Adopting the director responsibility system under the leadership of the technical committee, the Broadband-Narrowband Center has engaged a number of well-known experts in the field of communications from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Huaqiao University and China Mobile, to set up a technical committee for the broadband-narrowband center, which committee is dedicated to the R&D and promotion of broadband-narrowband integrated communication technology.  

Overall objective: is to carry out market-oriented basic research and prospective research on the application of broadband and narrowband integrated communications technology in accordance with the major strategic needs of the development of the private network communication industry and relevant policies, while focusing on solving important and critical technical problems in the field of broadband and narrowband integrated communications. With the broadband and narrowband integrated communication products as the main products, its scope of business covers professional research, technical support, business training and transformation of achievements. The center carries out transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements of important market value, and provides effective broadband and narrowband integrated communication technology solutions, communication products and technical support for private network communication. The center strives to become a comprehensive industrial scientific research and promotion platform with multiple functions, such as product development, scientific and technological innovation, information exchange, transformation of scientific and technological achievements and personnel training, in the private network and trunking communication industry, in Guangdong Province and even in China, in order to maintain its leading position in the field of private network communication in China.

Main tasks: (1) Focusing on scientific research and development: the center has complete more than 20 invention patent applications and more than 100 software copyright applications within three years, formulated 1 industrial standard for cloud broadcasting management system for emergency prevention and control, and strives to promote the formulation of relevant national standards. (2) Strengthening the talent team building: the center implements the talent program, under which it introduces famous discipline leaders and senior professional and technical talents, cultivates a number of high-level engineering technology and management talents related to private network communication industry and broadband and narrowband integrated communication technology, and builds a highland for engineering technology talents in private network communication industry. (3) Promoting exchanges and cooperation: the center strengthens the ties between domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutes, carries out various forms of technical cooperation and exchanges in technological research and development, and provides technical support services for the development of private network communication industry and broadband and narrowband integrated communication technology, in order to accelerate the transformation of achievements.
