On June 25, Liao Bing, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of GDAS, led a delegation to the National Technical University of Ukraine (Kyiv Polytechnic Institute) to exchange on scientific and technological cooperation and sign the strategic partnership agreement on education, science and technology.

Academician Sergey Sidarenko, Vice Rector of National Technical University of Ukraine, expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Liao Bing and his delegation. He said that the visit of the GDAS delegation was of strategic significance to promote scientific and technological cooperation between the two sides. The strategic partnership of GDAS, National Technical University of Ukraine, Ukrainian Baton Welding Institute and Ukrainian Special Technology Group had laid a solid foundation for joint scientific and technological research and development of high-level talents. He looked forward to make more achievements in the future partnership.  

Liao Bing said, the National University of Technology of Ukraine, as Ukraine's top college/university in the fields of science and technology, had cultivated a large number of outstanding scientific and technological talents in physics, chemistry, mechanics, agriculture, aviation, and electronics information for the world. The four-party partnership also received the attention and support from Academician Paton, President of Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences. He signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of Paton Welding Institute. This played a huge role in deepening scientific and technological cooperation between Guangdong Province and Ukraine. GDAS would take this opportunity to continue to deepen and expand scientific and technological cooperation with Ukraine in setting up a high-level international scientific research team, summarizing major scientific problems, and forming a mechanism for jointly training high-level talents. The focus would be carrying out leading-edge basic research and basic research work on important applications to meet the industrial demand.

During the visit, Liao Bing and his delegation also went to Ukraine Balagin Institute of Biochemistry and Ukraine Institute of Physics and Mechanics to exchange for scientific and technological cooperation.
